Rustic summer sunflower themed renewal at Farmley Copleys

'Our day was simply perfect! We feel everything flowed beautifully, which was down to the incredible team at Farmer Copley's and all our amazing suppliers working so well together to enable everything to fall into place'.

Tom and Fran got married in summer at the awesome Farmer Copleys, which is a quirky farm in Pontefract. It was the most beautiful wedding and the sun shone all day long. This was at the heart of the 2022 heat wave! The ceremony was an intimate service in the barn, followed by a relaxed chill out period on the lawn, with time for family photos as well as canapes and farmers snacks, such as scotch eggs and halloumi sticks, while the fabulous band played. This was followed by a fab reception, back in the barn with a trip to the ice cream parlour for the kids, followed by photos in the sunflower field, smoke bombs, jumping pillows for the kids and then a lovely chilled out evening reception, with more music from the band. The day had a rustic, laid back vibe with a simple white and green colour combination.

Why did you choose your venue?

'We chose Farmer Copley's as it is somewhere we have enjoyed visiting as a family over the years and already have so many happy memories there. We love it's rustic charm. The food is also amazing!'

What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?

'We chose a white and green colour combination. We feel this is simple, classy and perfect for a rustic theme.'

What was the best part of your day?

We discussed this as a couple and we truly could not chose our favourite part of the day. A special part for me was walking down the aisle holding my daughter's hand and seeing my husband and my son stood at the front beaming at us as we walked towards them.'

If you could do it all over again, is there anything you would change / do differently?

'Worry less in the run-up and just enjoy the planning journey'.

What advice would you give to other couples when planning their Wedding?

'A professional photographer is such an important investment. The photos don't only capture a visual picture, they capture the emotions felt in that moment. Your photos will live on long after your special day.'
