Your creative Messy-Paint Session - Around 10 months old
Messy-Paint Sessions are a delightful way to capture your baby's creativity!
For babies who can sit independently, typically at around 9 months and older, with parents and/or siblings.
Come on folks, let's get painting!
Create a masterpiece for your home!
As well as creating great photos to cherish, you'll create a masterpiece you can take home and hang on your wall.
Messy-painting allows your baby to explore textures, colors, and materials, stimulating their senses and hopefully leading to lots of big smiles and curious expressions.
Why not book as an alternative to a cake smash session?
This session can also be booked for your baby's first birthday if you don't fancy a cake smash!

Here's everything you need to know before you book your session
What to expect - My Studio Space
My cozy little photography studio is convieniently nestled in a converted garage, at the side of my house.
It is accessed via the gates at the side of my property, so there's no need to come into my house at all.
If needed, there's space to get changed in the back, if you want to change into clean clothes before you go home, for example.
While it may not be the largest or most luxurious of settings (we are very down to earth, here at Fyshcreative Photography), it is equipped with everything we need to capture your wonderfully messy paint session, including professional lighting, backdrops & props.
Warning - You WILL leave messy!
Parents often say 'I didn't expect it to be so messy'. I use lots of paint and encourage you to get it EVERYWHERE!
Even if you don't join in, your baby may want a cuddle when they are gloriously messy - so be prepared to get a little paint on you!
In most cases you'll all need to go home for a shower and a clean up before you go out-out in public so it's usually a good idea to not plan anything directly after your session!
It's my party & I'll cry if I want to
A Messy-Paint session can go one of two ways. Be prepared for either option!
Some babies love it - others may not like the texture of paint on them! I like parents to be prepared for both possibilities.
When a baby cries during the session, some parents can be disappointed. I understand this can be difficult when you wanted cute, messy and funny paint-covered pictures but children have a mind of their own and we will just go with the flow!
Top tips for a successful Messy-Paint session
Dress Appropriately: Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
Bring Essentials: Ensure you have all necessary baby essentials such as wipes, snacks, and a change of clothes for afterwards!
Relax & enjoy the session: Focus on the joy of creating rather than the outcome. It’s not about posing, it's all about the experience! I'll capture natural photos of you playing, painting & getting messy in the process!
Make sure your baby is not hungry coming into the session - a fed baby, is a happy baby!
Book your slot for when your baby is at their happiest - such as just after a nap.
Generally, the less people at the session, the better. Your baby might get overwhelmed with an audience
What to wear
You don't need expensive outfits - you can get really cute & inexpensive clothing from Ebay or Amazon for these shoots.
Remember that the paint MAY not come out. I recommend a plain white t-shirt and denim for a casual, relaxed look.
You will not need socks or shoes as I always prefer barefoot for babies; baby toes are cute!
What to bring with you
Snacks to hide, in case your child needs some encouragement
Sippy cup with some clear water or juice
Baby wipes / face wipes
A change of clothes to travel home in (for your baby, but also you & any siblings)
Plastic bag for soiled items - favorite toys (that will coordinate, if possible)
