Tummy Time - Around 3 - 4 months old
Babies grow and change so rapidly in their first year & it is amazing to watch them develop from a tiny, sleepy newborn to an increasingly independent baby, able to lift their head up all by themselves, all within just 3-4 months or so!
At this age, we start to see lots more of their personality & hopefully we will capture the 'airplane' shot where they hold their arms out as if they are flying!
Why not choose your favorite image to display on the wall in your child’s nursery at home?
Let's capture your growing baby's development
A Tummy time session is a way of marking this milestone in your baby's development & it's a great celebration of your little one growing stronger. Once your baby can confidently hold their head up while laying on their tummy, there are so many opportunities for photographs. We can also do photographs on their backs, looking up at the camera if they get tired.
Parents & Siblings can be included
This is also a great age to get some updated photos with your baby & and or siblings. Friendly fur abaies can also be included.

What to wear (Parents & Siblings
Choose colours that compliment one another, rather than too many of the same colour.
I recommend colours from the chart here. Stay away from patterns, unless they are subtle. Patterns can look distracting on photos, when you want your baby to be the focus on the images.
Start with mum's outfit - women's clothing comes in a multitude of designs, colors, and styles, so having this as a foundation for the other outfits makes it easier to choose a color palette and style for your outfits.
Confidence is key. Choose something you feel comfy & confident in. Choose something that fits you well and makes you feel good about yourself! For best results. dress your baby in a snug fitting plain white or neutral baby grow, without patterns, or use my mohair rompers & wraps.
What to Expect...
Your session will last around an hour, which is short enough not to tire your baby out but long enough for me to be able to create a variety of images for you to cherish in the years ahead. The session in baby-led but I will keep it fun with carefully selected toys to match the backdrop you have chosen, music or even singing. We may need to be silly to raise a smile. I want to capture your baby's best smile and show off their developing personality.
Top Tips for a successful Tummy Time Session
Make sure your baby has reached the milestone - for example for Tummy Time, make sure they can hold their head up for a prolonged period, before booking your session. If you book in too early, your baby may get fussy and frustrated in this position.
Make sure your baby is not hungry coming into any session. A fed baby is a happy baby!
Book you slot for when your baby is at their most happiest - such as just after a nap.
Generally, the less people at the session, the better. Your baby might get overwhelmed with an audience.
'This doesnt look like a photography studio, mummy'
I once overheard a child say this to his parents and while he obviously had preconceived notions of what a studio should look like, he was right. I've designed my space as a place where you can just be yourselves, breathe & relax, especially important when you have a baby. You aren't coming to an intimidating, daunting high street studio, you are coming to my little photography nook, in what was once a garage.
