Your Sitting-Up Session - Between 7 - 9 months old
Congratulations on your baby's exciting milestone of confidently sitting up!
This is a momentous achievement in your little one's development and a wonderful occasion to capture through a dedicated photo session.
A Sitting Up session is the perfect opportunity to capture your baby as they move from rolling over & crawling to sitting up all by themselves. Generally this session takes place at about 9 months of age and at this age we start to see lots more of your baby's personality.
Hoppefully we capture lots of wonderful expressions from big beaming smiles to long, serious stares. It's a special way of marking this special milestone in your baby's development.
Once your baby is confidently sitting up, there are so many opportunities for photographs.

What to wear
When choosing your child's clothes for the session, think classic and timeless. Bring plain clothes in neutral colours. Clothes with beautiful textured fabrics always work well, like chunky knits. I have a range of delightful sitter outfits, to match my colour-ways, that will fit the average sized baby, that you’re welcome to use in your session.

Top Tips for a successful Sitting-Up Session
Make sure they are fully confident with sitting up for pro-longed periods before booking your session. Make sure your baby is not hungry coming into the session. A fed baby is a happy baby! Book you slot for when your baby is at their most happiest - such as just after a nap.
Bring your baby's favorite toys, but make sure they coordinate and won't look out of place. We don’t want to have to take away a toy and make your baby upset! Generally, the less people at the session, the better. Your baby might get overwhelmed with an audience.
'This doesnt look like a photography studio, mummy'
I once overheard a child say this to his parents and while he obviously had preconceived notions of what a studio should look like, he was right. I've designed my space as a place where you can just be yourselves, breathe & relax, especially important when you have a baby. You aren't coming to an intimidating, daunting high street studio, you are coming to my little photography nook, in what was once a garage.
