Newborn Options - between 6 days & 3 weeks old
I offer newborn sessions from 6 days to around 3 weeks of age. Newborns within this age bracket are typically still very sleepy and flexible, making it easier to achieve a variety of settled poses.
15 years experience - your baby is in safe hands
I'm in my 15th year of running my little business. It's incredible to think the newborns I captured when I started are teens now! Over the last decade and a half, I've learned that every baby is unique; that's why I take a baby led approach to every session, ensuring that your little one is warm, comfy and safe - allowing them to be the true star of the show! Babies sometimes don't like a particular pose or prop or take a while to settle - all of this is completely fine. We go with the flow.
Let's capture those tiny toes!
Welcoming a new life into the world is a momentous occasion, and those first few weeks are filled with fleeting, precious memories. Ensure those memories don't slip away, with a professional newborn photography session.
Whether you are feeling a bit overwhelmed or are a dab-hand at this parenting lark, I will make your newborn session simple, relaxed, safe and enjoyable.
Sessions take place in my boutique home-studio, which is in a converted garage at my address in Rossington, Doncaster. It's warm, cosy and a little nook of sanctuary, where you can just breathe and relax while I capture your most precious memories.

Parents & Baby
We create a set of gentle, natural shots in my studio that show the beautiful connection between you & your baby. This shoot is about connection, love & simplicity. This session does not involve props & is perfect if you just want some studio-style, natural photos of you, your partner & your baby.
Please note: This does not include any photos of your baby on their own or siblings. If you also want images of your baby on their own, or have other children / pets you'd like to include, choose the Family option.
Just Baby
This session is for baby-only and we create the most adorable poses on my collection of shabby-chic props.
I have the cutest range of props for your session & I'm always adding to my collection. Click on the link for more info about each prop, including about how I use them in your newborn / baby session.
Family
We firstly do a family session, then use the props to get some photos of your baby on their own. Siblings can join in with each prop, if they want to.
Friendly siblings of the fur-baby type are also welcome to join in.
Here are some FAQ & answers
I want a Family session, but I'm worried my toddler might not pose with the baby...
I have plenty of patience for toddlers & pre-schoolers!
We let your toddler or pre-schooler go at their own pace with gentle encouragement. We might need to spend some time sitting and playing (as you would at a parents and tots class) and gently ease into the sibling photos when your toddler/pre-schooler feels comfortable and safe.
I always say I capture the love admist the chaos. We let the session unfold & go with the flow.
I want a Just Baby session, but I'm worried my baby may not sleep...
I have a flexible start time, so you can come just after a feed. Plus we have plenty of time, so your session isn't rushed. If your baby is a little unsettled, we just take the time to get them back to sleep. My studio is a safe, relaxed space.
Where it's safe to do so, I might also do some images of your baby awake too!
What should my baby wear?
I have a range of the softest mohair rompers, headbands, hats and blankets in coordinating gentle pastel colours for use in your session.
What should I wear (Parents & Siblings)
Choose neutral, complimentary colors. Choose colours that compliment one another, rather than too many of the same colour. I recommend colours from the chart (below) that will compliment the white curtain or biege backdrop I use for newborn sessions.
Stay away from patterns, unless they are subtle. Patterns can look distracting on photos, when you want your new baby to be the focus on the images. Confidence is key. Choose something you feel comfy & confident in. Choose something that fits you well and makes you feel good about yourself!
For best results. dress your baby in a snug fitting plain, neutral baby grow, without patterns, or use my mohair rompers & wraps.

'This doesnt look like a photography studio, mummy'
I once overheard a child say this to his parents and while he obviously had preconceived notions of what a studio should look like, he was right. I've designed my space as a place where you can just be yourselves, breathe & relax, especially important when you have just had a baby. You aren't coming to an intimidating, daunting high street studio, you are coming to my little photography nook, in what was once a garage. Click the link for more info.
What to bring with you to my studio
First and foremost, patience & positivity
Bring lots of nappies / wipes, just in case they're having a poopy-day or we have a few accidents.
Bring plenty of food for your baby as being a top-model is hungry work.
Bring a dummy if you normally use one.
If you have opted to join in, bring a change of clothes in case you get pee'd on. It happens!
Finally, if there is any thing you'd like to bring from home to be included in your photos, please let me know so I can make sure I can incorporate it.
Top Tips for a successful newborn session
Firstly, I will make sure my studio is cosy & warm & play white noise through your session.
Choose a start time when your baby is at their most sleepiest
Prepare on the day by feeding your baby before you come - or let me know if you'd prefer to feed them when they arrive.
If you have opted for the family option & are bringing toddlers or pre-school children, bring something to entertain them with between takes, as my studio space is small and they may get bored easily.
