Each wedding day I shoot is different. The season obviously makes a difference. Summer weddings are very different to winter ones, especially in terms of light and whether your guests are going to be outside in the grounds or inside by the fire! I go along with the flow of your day. Once we have finished your formal photos, there is usually a bit of milling around time before you need to sit down for your meal, so in this time, I will take photos of what is going on - and your guests enjoying themselves. Sometimes their are canape's to enjoy in this bit too.
Usually, I will take photos in your wedding reception room before your guests enter, so that I can get all the pretty details, such as your room all set up, the table decorations, centre pieces, colour scheme & cake.
Once you enter along with your guests, I will cover the speeches and general action. After you've had your wedding breakfast, or buffet or hog roast - or what ever food you've laid on, there is usually a bit more loitering time before your evening do starts, so I will once again capture the action as it happens.
I love long, hot summer wedding days when your guests will be milling about in the grounds of your venue - as this is the perfect time for me to grab some relaxed shots of them and all that lovely action from your big day.I'll interact with your guests - I like to give them some chalk boards so they can write a message for you - Ill take a photo of them holding the board up - but I don't let you see what they have put, so that when you get your images back, you have a few surprises!
