A Quirky Styled Bridal Shoot

30th March 2017

So, I am very excited about this. I am working along side Flutterby Bridal Boutique to undertake a styled Bridal shoot in which we can really get our creative juices flowing. Thinking funky, funky, funky. And out of the box. And fun. To appeal to new brides who are alternative & a tadge quirky.

The Shoot Concept.....

The initial idea was to do a shoot to showcase Flutterby's range of traditional bridal dresses. Flutterbys is a fairly new Bridal shop in rossington, Doncaster, appealing to the mid range bride with dresses from £700 to £1900 price range, but after chatting and discovering we both love tattoos, everything 'different' and we would both love to bring in those brides who want contemporary / alternative look, we decided to change theme and go Quirky! We want to create a series of promotional images to appeal to the type of bride who might put her bridesmaids in a jumpsuit, rather than a traditional bridesmaid dress; who herself may choose something different for her own dress – think floral / silver / contemporary.  The bride who cares about making it her own, rather than going with the norm.

Location / timing

We have a date set and the venue - Monday 24th April 2017, at Heullas bar in Doncaster Town Centre from 10am – 2pm. We have picked this venue as it is modern and contemporary. Think rich grey walls, booths, silver and chrome and  a roof top terrace with champagne. It is quirky & stylish throughout.

Models

We have the models sourced. All have been hand picked by Flutterby Bridal Boutique, to fit in with the theme in mind. One of our models has lots of ink - we want to showcase her ink with with maybe one of the floral dresses by a key designer. I cant wait to see the contrast between the soft floral tones of the dress with her sleeve and other tats. We also have two plus sized models to showcase the plus sized range of quirky gowns by another key designer.

We are on the look out for other professionals in the wedding industry to jump on board with us for the hair styling and make up. Someone who may want to try some 'out there' bridal hair, to fit in with our theme. There you are, dying to just once, style a bride how YOU  want. You can go wild, wild, wild. The finished images will be made available to each professional involved, so you can use them how you please for marketing etc.

Want to get on board? Please get in touch. Ill be keeping this blog updated as we prepare for the shoot, so watch out for new updates.
